Jericho Family Vineyard

The Jericho Family vineyard was planted to Grenache in 1955. The soil is classic Maslin Sand from the elevated Blewitt Springs subregion of McLaren Vale. The Gulf of St Vincent provides a cooling breeze that helps regulate this vineyard over the growing season. This is one of the coolest sites in Blewitt Springs. The resulting wine shows floral notes, blue fruit, and spice.

Our goal with the winemaking is to reflect this unique site and the vintage conditions specific to the year the wine was made. As such, we handpick early in the morning, using a high proportion (50%) of whole bunch for the wild ferment. The wine is matured in large format, neutral puncheons for 10 months to showcase the vineyard's unique character. Unfined, unfiltered.
