McLaren Vale is our home for Grenache. Nestled between the coast and the hills just south of Adelaide, it is among the most geologically diverse wine regions in the world — more than fifty distinct geologies within its boundaries, some of them 550 million years old. It is also home to some of the oldest continuously producing vineyards on earth, with Grenache plantings going back to the 1800s. That diversity is the reason we work the way we do: old vines, one site at a time, and wines as different from each other as the ground beneath them.

Subregion
Lying west of McLaren Vale town toward the Gulf St Vincent, Seaview sits lower and closer to the coast than Blewitt Springs. Cool maritime air moves inland through the afternoon, moderating ripening and holding acidity in the fruit. The result is more freshness — a different expression of the same variety.
